Valet parking Hannover Airport explained in brief
With valet parking (from the French “valet”, meaning servant), you do not park the car yourself. Instead, you hand your car over to a parking service that parks it for the duration of your trip and has it ready again when you return. At Park King at Hannover Airport (HAJ), the handover takes place right outside the departure hall: no looking for a space, no walk from the car park and no shuttle bus. Our guide What is valet parking? Meaning, process, costs (in German) explains how valet parking works in general and what it costs.
Valet service at Hannover Airport: who is behind it?
Park King is a brand of the Parkzentrum Gruppe and an independent private provider. Park King is neither the airport nor an official partner of the airport. You book directly with the provider at parkkinghannover.de and have a direct contact person: phone +49 176 24998310.
How it works: valet parking at Hannover Airport in 5 steps
How does valet parking work?
At Park King, valet parking works in five steps: you book online, drive straight to the airport, hand over your car and key outside the departure hall, Park King parks it during your trip, and you get it back after you return. The meeting point and the return are stated in your booking confirmation.
- Book online: Enter your travel dates in the booking box above and select Park King Valet. You see the fixed price before you pay. You then receive your booking confirmation by email with all details on getting there and the handover.
- Drive to the airport: On your day of departure, drive straight to Hannover Airport – not to a car park with a shuttle first.
- Handover outside the departure hall: At the meeting point stated in your booking confirmation, hand over your car and key. You take your luggage straight to check-in.
- Your car is parked: Park King takes over the vehicle and parks it for the duration of your trip while you are already checking in.
- Return after landing: After arrival, collect your luggage. How and where you get your car back is stated in your booking confirmation.
Getting to Hannover Airport
The airport is in Langenhagen, approx. 10.3 km north of Hannover according to the airport. By car, you reach it via the A352 motorway, junction “Hannover-Flughafen”. Coming from the east, take the A2; from the south, the A7; from the city centre, the B522 (Vahrenwalder Straße). The official sat-nav address of the terminals is Flughafenstraße 4, 30855 Langenhagen; this is Terminal A, with Terminals B, C and D following along the road. You will find more routes under Getting to Hannover Airport.
Valet parking at Hannover Airport: who is it worth it for?
Valet costs more than shuttle parking. In return, you save yourself changing vehicles, reloading luggage and walking. It makes particular sense for:
- Families with children: No switching to a bus with pushchairs, suitcases and children. Up to 8 people are included at no extra charge.
- Travellers with lots of luggage: Your luggage only moves once, from the boot to check-in.
- Business travellers: Short distances save time. During major trade fairs such as HANNOVER MESSE (in 2027 from 5 to 8 April), demand for parking and hotels rises in the Hannover-Langenhagen area. Book early at those times.
- Early flights: You skip the intermediate step of car park plus transfer. Tip: for very early or late flight times, it is best to arrange the handover with Park King in advance.
- Tight schedules: Without a shuttle transfer, there is one less change. You still need a buffer for check-in and the security check.
If you travel light and want to park as cheaply as possible, Park & Fly Hannover with shuttle transfer (in German) is often the better choice.

The table shows Park King’s current base prices. You will find all rates in detail under Hannover Airport parking prices.
Up to 8 people at no extra charge
With valet parking, up to 8 people are included in the price. With shuttle parking, 2 people are included, and each additional person costs €7.50 when booked online and €15 on site. A worked example with base prices for 7 days and 6 travellers: shuttle parking on the Park King P1 Flexible rate costs €106 plus 4 × €7.50, i.e. €136. Valet costs €249 as a base price. The more people travel with you, the smaller the difference.
Coupon: 5% off
With the coupon code Website5 you get 5% off, valid until 30 December 2027. Enter it in the “Coupon Code” field at checkout. On a base price of €249, that would be €12.45. More on this: Hannover Airport parking coupon (in German).
Valet or shuttle? The difference at a glance
The key difference: with valet, you hand over your car right outside the departure hall and go straight to check-in. With shuttle parking, you park your car yourself and take the free shuttle to the terminal. Park King offers both at Hannover Airport (base prices, as of September 2026):
| Criterion | Park King Valet | Park King shuttle parking (P1, P2, P4) |
|---|---|---|
| Car handover | Right outside the departure hall | You park your car yourself; details in your booking confirmation |
| Getting to the terminal | Not needed: no shuttle, no waiting for a bus | Free shuttle transfer included |
| Key | You hand over your car and key outside the departure hall | Saver rate (Park King P2, P4): key handover required |
| People | Up to 8 at no extra charge | 2 included, each additional person €7.50 online (€15 on site), max. 8 |
| Free cancellation | Up to 24 hours before arrival | Park King P1 Flexible up to 24 hours before arrival; Park King P2/P4 Saver rate cannot be cancelled free of charge |
| Base price 7 days | from €249 | from €65 (Park King P2) |
Valet is especially worthwhile for families, travellers with lots of luggage and business travellers who are short on time. Shuttle parking suits you if price matters most, you travel with light luggage or you are away for longer.
Handing over your car right at the terminal: valet or terminal car park?
If you want short distances to the terminal, you will usually compare valet with the airport’s car parks close to the terminals. According to the airport, the airport car parks P1 and P3, for example, are particularly close to Terminal A and Terminal C respectively. Do not confuse them: the airport’s car park P1 with its Comfort and Exclusive rates is not the same as Park King’s P1 Flexible rate. The difference compared with valet lies above all in the service:
- Handover instead of searching for a space: In the car park, you drive in yourself, look for a space and walk to the terminal with your luggage. With valet, you hand over your car and key right outside the departure hall and go straight to check-in.
- No walk from the car park: Suitcases, pushchairs and fellow travellers get out right outside the departure hall. With Park King Valet, up to 8 people are included at no extra charge.
- Payment: According to the airport, cash is no longer accepted in the airport’s car parks – only debit card (EC/girocard) or credit card. At Park King, you pay online in advance, including by PayPal, Klarna or Apple Pay, and you know the fixed price before you pay.
- Price, honestly put into perspective: According to the airport’s parking fees (valid for entries from 1 September 2026), 7 days on site in the airport’s car park P1 cost €151 (Comfort) or €200 (Exclusive). According to the airport, reserving online is cheaper, and online prices vary by day. Park King Valet starts at a base price of €249 for 7 days: you pay for the handover outside the departure hall, not for a cheaper parking space.
Conclusion: based on these comparison figures, if you are happy to park yourself and walk a little, the terminal car park is the cheaper option. If you would rather not park at all and are travelling with family or lots of luggage, you hand your car over with valet right outside the departure hall.
